Verizon LTE pinhole virtual server
August 29, 2011wow..I see its been some time since I posted here..have to update the home data soon..
Anyways I did have a major beef with Verizon wireless LTE 4G network.
Im a network manager and have been dealing with Hurricane Irenes effects this weekend where as our local fiber is out to our main office due to tress falling. This being anticipated before it happen we went and puchased a handful of Verizon wireless LTE 4G modems UM290 and some cradle point routers CTR500. We found that Verizon wireless is out of IPs with the boom in expanding their 4G lte network so everyone is behind a NAT. This prevents you from using whats called Virtual server and or Pin Hole from the outside world into your corp network servers. Only work around is a $500 static IP LTE account or go back to the 3g legacy network. Guess we will be going to Sprint / Clear which doesnt do this. Hope this helps others trying to get there networks online during this disaster.
